Rodrigo is a PhD student at the chair of real-time systems in the University of Kaiserslautern. His interest for electronic started when he joined high school in Brazil with technical major in electronics and did the internship at TV Globo. Rodrigo holds a degree in electronic engineering from CEFET-RJ. During his engineering studies he took part in three exchanging programs in Germany including a DAAD supported project at the chair for digital circuits at Fachhochschule München and an internship at the department of electronic control unit (ECU) development at BMW in Munich.

In 2008 Rodrigo completed the Master program in automation and control at the University of Kaiserslautern after writing his thesis at the chair of real-time systems with the title "Control Theory Approaches to Resource Adaptation in Real-Time Embedded Systems". This work was presented in the Work-in-Progress Session of RTSS in 2008. The practical application of the concepts developed in the master thesis was presented in the Workshop on Adaptive Resource Management during the Cyber-Physical Systems Week in 2010, .

Rodrigo was responsible for TU Kaiserslautern on the EU project INDEXYS. As part of his activities, he supervises a number of bachelor and master theses at the chair of real-time systems. His current research topics relate to scheduling and buffer analysis of real-time networks including automotive and avionics domains, e.g. TTEthernet, AFDX.
